Imbolc Altar with Brigid's Cross

My Hearthside Imbolc Altar and Brigid’s Cross

Imbolc Altar with Brigid's Cross

I made my first Brigid’s Cross!

Super happy and blessed Imbolc! I wanted to share a few pictures of my own Imbolc altar, especially the sweet little Brigid’s Cross that I made. It was my first time making one, and it was a little harder than I thought it would, but I pulled it together (with a dab of magical white glue at the end!) and was super happy with the results! It’s a gorgeous little witchy charm and the perfect quick craft for the season.

To me, Brigid and Imbolc represent warmth, sun, and light. I setup this special little altar right on my hearth, which is the main source of heat for our home in the winter. It’s a really special and sacred thing to have a hearth fire in my house, so putting the altar there and some simple candles around it felt meaningful.

I also hung up herbs and flowers from my garden last year and made the Brigid’s Cross out of palm fronds that I found right outside my back door. I’ve been excited about the return of the sun so I can get back into my garden and grow some new herbs and things… so it felt appropriate to hang things I’ve grown for decoration and also because it means something to me and my Wheel of the Year.

Hope you enjoy these pictures from my rustic hearth and Imbolc Altar!
